Air purifiers

Breathe cleaner air with HEPA filter air purifiers. Air purifiers equipped with HEPA filters are recommended to be used in schools, creches and businesses. Air purifiers minimise the risk of airborne viruses (such as coronavirus), bacteria and other pollutants in the air.

Order the best air purifiers for corona prevention

Air purifiers for schools, creches, offices or homes help improve the quality of the air you breathe in. Combined with the right filters, air purifiers target toxins in the air and allow us to breathe healthy purified air. This allows you to protect yourself, your colleagues and your students the best you can. Antiviral HEPA filters work to minimise the risk of viral microbes such as the coronavirus as well as bacteria and other larger pollutants. Carbon filters work best at removing any unwanted odours or gases from the air as well as dust and pet hair.

How do Leitz TruSens air purifiers work?

Leitz TruSens air purifiers are made up of a few essential components that each play their part.

  • The Sensorpod allows you to judge the air quality in any particular part of the room by placing it there. It then measures pollutants and communicates results back to the purifier. This ensures that the entire room has cleaner air.
  • The HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter captures 99% of airborne viruses and allergens down to 0.03 microns.

  • The PureDirect™ technology splits clean air into 2 streams and delivers purified air efficiently throughout the room.

  • The HEPA UV lamp destroys the pollutants that have been captured by the HEPA filter. This means that the air that is returned to you in the room is pure and free from toxins.

How to get started with your Leitz TruSens air purifier

  •  Remove all packaging from the air purifier

Remove the Leitz air purifier from its box and remove all protective packaging from the purifier.

  • Remove the plastic bag from the filter

Unscrew the bottom cover of the air purifier to reveal the filter. Remove the filter from the bottom cover and discard the plastic bag that is covering it.

  • Re-attach the filter

Secure the filter back within the bottom cover and place it back inside the purifier, making sure to re-screw it on securely.

  •  Set up the SensorPod

Plug the cable included into your SensorPod and plug it into the wall. Place it upright on a tabletop or counter across the room, within the line of sight of the purifier.

  • Plug in your air purifier unit and power it on

Place the air purifier on a flat surface, free from obstructions. Signal strength may vary in different locations. The SensorPod Works best up to 15m from the purifier.

  • Start living with cleaner air!

The purifier will automatically adjust fan speeds based on the air quality readings

from the SensorPod, and proprietary PureDirect technology will deliver purified air throughout the room!

Common questions

What air purifier is best for school classrooms?

The Leitz TruSens Z-3000 is the best option for larger classrooms. It achieves 2 air changes per hour (ACH) in a classroom up to 70m2. To increase the ACH to 4/hour in a classroom (up to 70m2) with an average number of 25 students we recommend 2 Leitz TruSens Z-3000 air purifiers per classroom.

Which filter do I need for my air purifier?

  • Carbon filters for purifiers work best on tackling odours and gases, as well as dust and pet hair. Carbon filters use activated carbon to absorb unwanted toxins from the air.
  • HEPA filters are the best choice for trapping larger airborne viruses (such as the coronavirus), bacteria and other pollutants such as pollen or dust mites.

How often do I need to change the filter on my air purifier?

  • The Carbon filters need to be replaced every 3 months.
  • The HEPA filters need to be replaced every 12-15 months to function optimally.
  • The UV-C light needs to be changed every 1-3 years.
